Cobh (Carrig House), Cork Harbour

Cobh (Carrig House) station updates every two to five minutes with the calculated Air Quality Index for Health (AQIH) and the Air Quality Map shows you if air quality is good, fair, poor or very poor. The Cobh site is located at Carrig House. The site is operated by the EPA.

Monitoring is carried out using continuous monitors for particulate matter (PM10) and sulphur dioxide. Graphs can be viewed at the links below.

Historical air monitoring information

Air monitoring was previously carried out at Cork Harbour at a site located in Monkstown.  Monitoring began on 21st August 2007 and finished on 14th March 2008.

Levels of particulates (PM10), nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide and metals were measured.  The report is available to download from Air Quality Monitoring Station Reports.
