On 6 December 2004 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted South East Recycling Company Limited at Wexford District Court. The Company pleaded guilty to the unauthorised sending in excess of 300 tonnes of waste off-site for disposal to a waste facility in Northern Ireland and the sending of construction and demolition waste to a quarry in County Wexford.
Judge O’Buchalla imposed a fine of €1,400. The Agency’s costs of €5,965 were also awarded.
