EPA prosecutes the owner of a waste disposal facility

On 9 February 2005 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted the owner of a Waste Disposal Facility at Carrick-on-Shannon District Court.

The owner pleaded guilty to carrying on unauthorised waste activities at a waste transfer station at Ardcolum, Drumshambo, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim. 

Judge Browne imposed fines totalling €250 and the EPA’s costs of €10,283 were awarded.
