EPA National Water Event 2017 - Ireland's Water Future- Wednesday, 21 June 2017
This year the National Water Event 2017 titled Ireland's Water Future was held on 21st and 22nd June 2017 at the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill, Galway.
The event is a key forum for Local Authorities, Regulators and Water professionals to learn about current changes in Ireland's water policy and practices. The event was very well attended with over 340 delegates attending for the two days.

EPA 2016 Annual Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 5 Information Day- Friday, 7 October 2016
The Environmental Protection Agency is organising its 2016 Annual Information Day on Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 5 on the Friday 7th October 2016 in Dublin (Croke Park Conference Centre).
The aim of this event is to promote and disseminate Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 5 Opportunities amongst the Irish Research Community, as well as facilitate networking.
For this 2016 Information Day, the focus will be on providing information on the 2017 calls opportunities, as well as on a forward-looking consultation in the context of the preparation for the upcoming Work Programme 2018-2020.

The event aimed to promote Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 5 amongst the Irish Research Community and support the active and successful engagement & participation of Irish researchers in Horizon 2020.

Clean Air Conference 2015- Monday, 28 September 2015
The Department of Environment Community and Local Government (DECLG) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) held a Clean Air Conference to mark the 25th anniversary of the introduction of the “smoky coal” ban in Dublin.
Attendees at the conference heard from national and international experts in air quality. The present and future challenges of improving air quality were discussed as well as policies to deal with air pollution on local, regional and global scales.

The Environmental Protection Agency continues its popular climate change lecture series in 2015. The first lecture this year looks at role of climate change in recent storms including the violent storms of 2014.
The lecture by Professor Myles Allen, Oxford University, will take place in The Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2 on Wednesday 11th March 2015.
Farm Hazardous Waste Bring Centres- Wednesday, 29 October 2014
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has teamed up with Teagasc, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Local Authorities (Kilkenny, Offaly, Fingal, Cavan, Donegal, Mayo, Waterford, Cork, Limerick, Wexford), WEEE Ireland, European Recycling Platform (ERP) and RILTA Environmental Ltd to operate ten bring centres for the collection of farm hazardous waste across the countryduring October and November 2014. This pilot scheme provides farmers with an excellent opportunity to dispose of their hazardous wastes in a manner that protects human health, livestock and the environment.
