International guidelines for public exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) are developed and regularly updated by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). These guidelines have been endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Commission (EC).
According to the WHO, no health effects have been identified for members of the public at EMF exposure levels below ICNIRP’s guidelines. This conclusion is in line with the 2015 report prepared on behalf of the Irish Government by the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment of the Netherlands (RIVM).
