12 Sept 2022: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) today published its Annual Report and Accounts 2022 detailing its role in protecting, improving and restoring Ireland’s environment through regulation, scientific knowledge and working with others.
The Annual Report and Accounts for 2022 provides an overview of activities that support a protected and healthy environment, EPA monitoring and assessment of the environment, climate action, greening of the EPA, sustainable production and consumption, being an effective voice, and sustaining our culture of excellence.
Commenting on the annual report, Laura Burke, Director General, said:
“The EPA published our Strategic Plan 2022–2026 during the year, which sets out what we will do to drive action on climate, promote sustainable consumption and production, and work relentlessly to achieve a clean, healthy environment.”
Ms. Burke added that:
“The EPA will also continue to be an effective voice for Ireland’s environment, committed to leading and working with others towards better outcomes across all environmental issues.”
