European Union (Paints, Varnishes, Vehicle Refinishing Products and Activities) Regulations 2012 (S.I.No 564 of 2012) make it illegal for any uncertified Vehicle Refinishing operator to spray cars without a valid certificate of compliance. Any uncertified vehicle refinisher should contact the Environment section of the local authority to arrange an inspection with an approved authorised assessor.
