EPA prosecutes Euroflex Teoranta

On 10th of December 2019 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Euroflex Teoranta in Dungloe District Court, Co Donegal.
Euroflex Teoranta pleaded guilty to breaches of conditions of its Industrial Emissions Licence (P0969 - 02) by:
- Failure to comply with Condition 3.14 from the 18th of November 2018 to 9th of June 2019, by failing to ensure that all solvent emissions arising from coating activities were directed to an abatement system for treatment.
- Failure to comply with Condition 8.6 on the 5th of February 2019, by failing to ensure that clearly labelled waste and materials were stored in designated areas protected, as may be appropriate, against spillage and leachate run-off.
Judge Kelly convicted Euroflex on both charges and imposed a fine of €500 on charge one and €750 on charge two. Costs were also awarded.
