EPA prosecutes Rosderra Irish Meats Group, (P0180-02)

Hearing Date: July 28, 2021

On 28^th July 2021, the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Rosderra Irish Meats Group, Carrick Road, Edenderry, County Offaly at Tullamore District Court, County Offaly.

Rosderra Irish Meats Group pleaded guilty to breaching a condition of its Industrial Emissions Licence - P0180-02 by:

1. Failing to comply with Condition 5.2, in that they failed to ensure that the activities were carried out in a manner such that emissions of odour did not result in significant impairment of, and/or significant interference with amenities or the environment beyond the installation boundary from the 28^th of March 2018 to the 13^th of June 2018.

After hearing a summary of the evidence Judge Brennan convicted Rosderra Irish Meats Group on the above charge and imposed a fine of €1,000. Agency costs were also awarded.
