EPA Prosecutes ESB Networks DAC

On 30th June 2022 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted ESB Networks DAC, having their registered office at Clanwilliam House, Clanwilliam Court, Dublin 2, at Dublin Metropolitan District Court.
ESB Networks DAC pleaded guilty to:
- Failing between on or about 10th July 2018 and on or about 31st May 2019 at Carrowdotia South, in the County of Clare, to comply with Article 3(3) of Regulation (EU) No. 517/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on fluorinated greenhouse gases in that they failed to ensure that E10 T4202/Prospect, unit GV 105 was repaired without undue delay following detection of leakage of fluorinated greenhouse gases from all three compartments of this equipment.
Judge Halpin convicted ESB Networks DAC and imposed a fine of €1,000. Costs in the sum of €20,300.09 were also awarded.
