EPA Prosecutes Bruscar Bhearna Teoranta – Ballaghaderreen (Reg. No. W0163-01)

On 8th September 2023 the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Bruscar Bhearna Teoranta, Ballaghaderreen Industrial Estate, Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon at Ballaghaderreen District Court. 

The company pleaded guilty to breaching a condition of its Waste Licence – (W0163-01) by:

  • Failing on or about the 23rd of September 2021 to comply with Condition 5.3.1, in that they failed to ensure that the waste transfer station was washed down and cleared of all waste at the end of the working day. 

Judge Gearty, having heard the evidence,  convicted the company and imposed a fine of €250. Costs were agreed.
