EPA prosecutes Bruscar Bhearna Teoranta, Carrowbrown (W0106-02)

On 5th September 2023, the Environmental Protection Agency prosecuted Bruscar Bhearna Teoranta, Carrowbrowne, Headford Road, County Galway at Galway District Court.

The company pleaded guilty to breaching a condition of its Industrial Emissions Licence – W0106-02 by:

  • Failing on or about the 11th of October 2021 to comply with Condition 4.3.2, in that they failed to ensure that the floor of the waste transfer station was washed down and cleared of all waste at the end of the working day.

Judge Fahy, having heard the evidence convicted the company and imposed a fine of €750. Costs were agreed.
