What is a Certificate of Radioactivity Measurement?
On request, the EPA issues certificates to show that the radioactivity content of Irish foodstuffs and other produce is below the requirements of the importing country. Anyone who produces food or drinks products for export may require a product certificate from the EPA, officially called a Certificate of Radioactivity Measurement.
How do I apply for a certificate?
Applications for a certificate are submitted online. Please fill out the details required on the online booking form
How do I amend a certificate?
If you require amendments to a certificate, please email RadCertification@epa.ie Please send the EPA certificate reference number along with details of amendment required.
How do I add extra details?
Extra details can be added in the “additional information” question on the form. Please note, this information will be reviewed and may be altered before the certificate is issued.
What is the turnaround time?
Product certificates shall be issued within 3 working days on receipt of a valid, fully completed product certification request.

The cost of a product certificate is €59 (VAT not applicable).
How will I be billed for this service?
An invoice will be issued from our finance department in the following month after your certificates have been processed.
