Project Abstract

In isolation a wind farm can be used to generate green hydrogen. When the wind farm is connected to the power system, production of hydrogen is also possible but the complexity of the power system means thatthe particular implementation and use of electrolysers will impact on the shade of green hydrogen produced, and even in some instances possibly the colour of the hydrogen. This research will identify conditions under which the production of hydrogen via electrolysis is the most efficient.
