Project Abstract
With an increasing number of people travelling in private cars, carbon emissions will be continuously built up, resulting in an unsustainable model for decarbonised transportation. Shared e-mobility systems are being promoted by the Irish government to reduce car ownership and carbon emissions in transport for achieving stringent environmental targets. However, these systems suffer from critical design issues, such as lack of service integration and not being user-centric, which significantly impede their efficacy to be delivered in future scenarios. In this project, we aim to design and develop a simulation platform to effectively analyse and address these issues using AI-based algorithms.
