Project Abstract
This project involves the production and analysis of solid biomass fuel from Irish non-forestry biomass for use in renewable district heating systems, using a novel continuous pyrolysis process. Tar build-up from the pyrolysis process will be separated into a gaseous form and condensed to liquid to assess for valuable chemicals.
