Project Abstract
The project will focus on how the reconceptualization of materials (and waste) as a resource where products and components are intentionally designed to fit within biological or technical material cycles, can be embedded into the organisational and supply chain practices of a construction SME. The expected benefits include the: conservation of raw materials and energy; elimination of toxicity; and an improved and more competitive construction process service with higher environmental performance. This findings will be transferable across the construction supply chain, the SME sector and will inform curriculum development. Results will widely disseminated via conferences, papers, social media etc.
