Project Abstract
The GGAA2013 is being jointly organised by Teagasc and University College Dublin. The meeting will focus on advancements in the areas of animal derived greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation and will attract the leading industry, government and university scientists on GHG from livestock, manure and soils from around the world with the common theme of researching ways to reduce GHG from animal agriculture. Key objectives of the conference include: - Advance the science of reducing greenhouse gases in livestock production, soils and manure - Accelerate research in GHG abatement by bringing the key players together - Promote the exchange of the latest advancements - Foster new ideas for innovative research - Provide a sound scientific basis for both international (IPCC) and domestic policy development - Enable new collaborations between and among public and private sector laboratories - Increase the economic efficiency of GHG research and increase the use and application of GHG research by the private sector.
