This indicator is based on an assessment of average nitrate concentrations over three-years (2020-2022) at 1,305 river sites.
The 2020-2022 data for nitrate in rivers show that 40% of river sites nationally have unsatisfactory nitrate concentrations (above 8 mg/l NO3).
