Most of the growth in renewable energy has come from wind. Wind provided 57% of all renewable energy in 2019. Solid biomass and bioliquids were the next largest sources of growth. Bioenergy, including biomass, landfill gas, biogas and bioliquids, collectively accounted for 33% of renewable energy in 2019.
