A memorandum of understanding (MoU) is a formal agreement that sets out arrangements for shared activities, cooperation and data/information exchange between two or more parties. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has put in place MoU agreements with various organisations that have an involvement in, or contribute to, matters relating to the environment.
Agreed MoUs, noting each party's responsibilities, are signed at Director General/Chief Executive level. Subject to the agreement of both organisations, and where appropriate, signed MoUs are published on the EPA’s website.
